You thought I’d stopped doing these, eh?
Well, you were WRONG. hehehe.
So, here they are, in the order that I watched them (I may have missed a few because it’s been so long since I watched some of these)
————————————————————————
1. East of Eden (1955)
Honestly here, this is my first James Dean movie. I’ve always known he was a handsome man, but I had never seen him act before. Gosh, his scenes were so heartbreaking. I think he may be the master of painful smiles.

2. Like Crazy (2011)
Oh my gawd, eye candy galore. That aside, I felt a little uncomfortable throughout the whole movie—well, after the part where Anna decides to violate her student visa and stay in the States for the summer. Just knowing that that one little thing prevented her and Jacob from having (probably) the perfect relationship… but then again, young people who are in love do foolish things.

3. Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011)
Twisted shit. Seriously. Very scary, but not in the jump-out-at-you way. You will be psychologically mind-fucked by the end. Also—I had no idea Elizabeth Olsen was younger sister to Mary-Kate and Ashley. They look alike, yeah, but Elizabeth is much healthier and more beautiful-looking.

4. New Year’s Eve (2011)
One of those harmless ensemble rom-coms, I guess. I think I prefer Valentine’s Day of the two, but they did a nice job making a big deal out of New Year’s Eve and romanticizing the whole ball drop in Times Square and midnight kiss.

5. The Grudge (2004)
Okay, I am never watching a scary movie the weekend right before finals again. Stupid and scary but nonetheless scary.

6. Young Adult (2011)
There’s something really sad about this movie, even though people might categorize it as a comedy. I think you’ll see what I mean if you ever watch it. Which you should, because it was really good.

7. Drive (2011)
So I never really saw Ryan Gosling’s appeal until this movie. I didn’t like Crazy, Stupid, Love. and I didn’t like The Notebook. He doesn’t fit my description of “handsome,” but there’s something about him that’s just really cool. That aside, the directing and soundtrack is pretty awesome. I’m not a fan of slow motion but it’s done well in this one.

8. The Skin I Live In (2011)
This one was pretty sick and twisted too, but I think Martha beats it in the scary department. Other people might beg to differ, but maybe the twistedness of Martha made watching more psychologically twisted movies easier. Or something like that.

9. Blue Valentine (2010)
NEW FAVORITE MOVIE. I’m being utterly for serious here. “New Favorite Movie” is something that doesn’t happen very often, BY THE WAY. I know I’m a lenient movie critic but OH MY GOSH nothing has touched me more than this for years. Also I am officially in love with Ryan Gosling. (On a side note, I never knew he was in The Mickey Mouse Club.)

10. The Other Woman (2011)
I kind of only watched this for Natalie Portman, and it did disappoint. Boring.
